Project Management

In
conjunction with our Architectural Design & Planning
services, Lea Hough are regularly appointed to provide full
Project Management services.
Typical appointments include extensions, conversions,
refurbishments & restoration works to existing buildings; or
new-build developments.
The service that we provide could include:
- the preparation of detailed specification & tender
documents
- obtaining statutory approvals
- conducting a competitive tender exercise & reviewing
tender prices from contractors
- putting appropriate contract documents in place
- overseeing construction standards on site through
regular site visits
- monitoring programme / timescales
- monitoring costs and certifying interim payments
- providing instructions on variations to the project
- provide regular progress reports to the client
- dealing with any design issues on site
- carrying out final defects inspections
- agreeing the contractor’s final account
- ensuring that the scheme is properly managed
throughout
Our Chartered Building Surveyors are able to act as Lead
Consultant, where required for larger projects, and
coordinate other consultants such as Structural,
Mechanical and Electrical Engineers and other
specialists. We can also fulfil the role of CDM Coordinator
and oversee Health & Safety aspects of construction
projects.
In fulfilling the role of Contract Administrator, we monitor
the performance of the Contractor, protect the Client’s
interests and provide appropriate advice.
Our knowledge of design, Planning, Building Regulations,
construction Health & Safety, combined with our technical
construction expertise ensure that we are a “one-stop shop”
in terms of designing and overseeing a project from
inception to completion.
