Employers Agent / Development Monitoring

In
many construction projects, there is a need for an
Employer’s Agent to provide advice and to protect the
client's interests during the whole of the development, from
inception to completion.
This is particularly relevant to new-build Design & Build
construction schemes.
Development Monitoring and Employer's Agent roles are well
suited to the skills of our experienced Chartered Building
Surveyors. Our expertise and flexible approach allows us to
tailor the service we offer to each client.
We are able to liaise with all parties including Developer,
Principal Contractor & Designers; prepare contract documents
including an Employer’s Requirements / Outline Specification
document; monitor construction standards on site &
compliance with contract drawings; monitor programme /
timescales; certify interim payments; provide instructions
on variations to the project; deal with problems on site;
carry out final Defects Inspections; agree the final
account; and generally ensure that the scheme is properly
managed and agreed.
We will make regular site visits to ensure that the
construction works are carried out in accordance with the
contract documents and submit regular reports covering
progress, variations and budgetary matters.
We assist clients by ensuring that adequate contract
documents are in place, including warranties and bonds.
Typical clients include prospective occupiers, banks,
investment funds, private investors and pension funds. Our
role is independent from and is not associated with the
development team.
